This day is dedicated to celebrating the potential that every single girl has and renewing our fight for equal rights and opportunities for all girls, everywhere.
We’re proud to announce that on this special day, we won the Girl Rising Creative Challenge! The Challenge received 900 submissions featuring the work of organizations and individuals dedicated to gender equality in 110 countries around the world. We were among 12 organizations selected as winners. As a winning organization, we’ll receive an HP laptop, a mini-printer, and $2,000 towards our work for gender equality. As you know, we are a small, all-volunteer organization, and we stretch every penny to the extent possible to continue our storytelling and advocacy work and our yearly scholarship. This “microgrant” will allow us to do so much more.
